From a single feature wall to a full interior repaint — everything below is done personally by Geoff, using premium products and proper preparation.
Whole-home or room-by-room. Walls, ceilings and trim brought back to a clean, even, hard-wearing finish.
Cut in by hand, rolled evenly, and finished without lap marks or patchy coverage — the part most people notice first.
Skirtings, architraves, doors and window frames finished crisply, with clean lines where they meet the wall.
Fresh plaster and new GIB sealed and prepared correctly so the topcoats sit right and hold for the long term.
Not sure on colour? I'll talk you through what works in the room and the light before a drop of paint goes on.
Filling, sanding and patching of knocks, cracks and old work so the refreshed surface looks like new, not touched-up.
I come to you, look at the job properly, and give you a clear fixed price — no guesswork, no surprises later.
Furniture moved and covered, surfaces filled and sanded, edges masked. The unglamorous part that makes the finish.
Repairs sealed and undercoated so the topcoats go on evenly and the colour sits true across the whole surface.
Premium topcoats applied, then walked through with you. I don't leave until you're happy with the result.
The finish only lasts if the products and the prep are right. I use top-tier paint on every job — it covers better, wears better, and holds its colour far longer than the cheaper alternative.
The things Orewa homeowners ask Geoff most often, before he starts.
Yes. Geoff moves and covers furniture himself as part of the prep, and everything goes back where it came from. You don't need to empty the room before he arrives — just clear anything precious or breakable.
A standard bedroom — walls, ceiling and trim — is usually one full day, sometimes two if there's a lot of filling and sanding to do. A full-house interior repaint is typically one to two weeks. Geoff gives you a realistic timeframe with the quote, not an optimistic one.
Geoff supplies quality trade paint and it's included in the quoted price. If you'd rather supply your own, that's fine too — just say so when he comes to look at the job.
No. Interiors are all Geoff does, and that's deliberate — it's how he keeps the finish to the standard he wants. If you need exterior work he's happy to point you at someone reliable.
Sanding makes dust, there's no way around it — but surfaces are masked and covered, and the site gets tidied at the end of every day. You'll be able to live in the house while the work happens.
Yes. Geoff comes to the property, looks at the actual job, and gives you a fixed price. The quote is the price — it doesn't move unless you change the scope of the work.
Orewa, Hatfields Beach, Whangaparāoa, Silverdale, Millwater, Red Beach, Gulf Harbour and Albany. If you're just outside that, ask anyway — Geoff will tell you straight if it's too far.
Geoff has been putting paint on Hibiscus Coast walls for 25 years, so he has a good eye for what works in a room and how a colour will actually read once it's up. He'll talk it through with you, and he'll tell you honestly if he thinks a choice won't work.
Describe the rooms, the surfaces, the timing — whatever you've got. I'll come and take a proper look and give you a straight price.
